Studio Assistant (Freelance)

Tower Bridge Studios – London E1

Tower Bridge Studios is a creative production facility in London with five fully equipped studios designed for photography, film, and television. Alongside versatile shooting spaces, we offer an extensive range of lighting, camera, and grip equipment, making the studios a true home base for productions of all sizes. Our goal is simple: remove friction, support creativity, and help great ideas happen smoothly.

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Studio Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. No two days are the same. One moment you might be repainting a white cove or turning a studio between shoots, the next you could be helping a client settle in, organising kit, or making sure everything runs exactly as it should.

We run the studios with a hospitality mindset. We care deeply about the details and treat every production like it’s the most important one in the building. From small fashion shoots and corporate podcasts to major productions with global brands and well-known talent, our clients trust us to make their experience seamless, welcoming, and professional.

Please note - shifts would start at 8AM and often run later than 6PM, please do not apply unless you are comfortable with commuting to E1W 1NA at these times and potentially for late shifts.

The Role

This is a freelance, on-site Studio Assistant role based at Tower Bridge Studios in London E1. You’ll support the day-to-day operation of the studios, helping with:

  • Assisting clients throughout their time on site
  • Preparing, turning around, and maintaining studios
  • Managing, organising, and supporting equipment hire
  • Keeping studios and shared spaces clean, tidy, and shoot-ready
  • Helping ensure everything is running smoothly and safely

A weekly cleaner is in place, but day-to-day care and pride in the space are part of the role.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Knowledge of lighting, camera, and grip equipment is a big plus
  • Experience in the creative or entertainment industry is beneficial
  • A genuine desire to build a career in the creative or production world
  • This role involves physical work and responsibility, but it’s also deeply rewarding. You’ll be at the heart of a working studio environment, learning how real productions operate and playing a key part in helping them succeed.
